Representing a new path to addressing climate change, Gardens Rising is a groundbreaking experiment in citizen participation, self-governance and self-determination. Working together to create a more sustainable future for the Lower East Side, over the coming months community gardeners, local residents and civic officials will be planning and implementing a variety of innovative green infrastructure improvements, using eco-friendly approaches to reduce the negative impacts of stormwater flooding on our Loisaida neighborhood.
